The congregation of Zion Lutheran Church of (Irene later changed to Loma) was organized 07 January 1902. It became a part of the Nekoma parish. The first pastor, J. B. Unseth, accepted a call in 1903. The church was built in 1906. Pastors of the church have been J. B. Unseth 1903-1913; S. J. Peterson, 1914-1917; J. O. Dahle, 1918-1940; Carl W. Holm, 1941-1944; Norman Schey, 1945-1947; Orville A. Crawford, 1948-1952; L. James Brooks, 1953-1955; Conrad Greenquist, 1955-1956; Paul Bungum, 1956-1963; Marvin Isum, 1964-1966; Alfred Putz, 1967-1970; Keith Hedstrom, 1971-1972; Bruce Burslie, 1973-1975; and Jeffry Macejkovic, 1975-. Supply pastors have been O. J. Bilstad, V. Kessler, LaMont Carlson, Marc Borg, John Nilsen and David Nelson.
