This congregation was organized as a part of James River Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church, Montpelier, North Dakota, Sunday, May28, 1905, by the Reverend Lars Foss.
The Ladies Aid was organized April 2, 1905. December 13, 1913, The James River Valley Evangelical Church disbanded to form two congregations; The North Division is now known as the Ypsilanti Lutheran Church. The Church was built in 1917.
