Trinity Lutheran Church of Sharon, North Dakota finds its roots in the Hoff Lutheran Church which came together by merger; Trondenes, Zion and Hoff.
 
Trondenes, the oldest of the three was organized June 26, 1884, and was built on the site where Trinity Lutheran Church presently stands.
 
In August of 1916, Trondenes was struck by lightning and completely destroyed. A new church building, which remains the structure if trinity today, was dedicated July 2, 1922.
 
Zion Lutheran Church, merged with Trondenes in April 1939, at which time the new mane, Trinity Lutheran Church, was selected.
 
The Zion congregation was organized December 13, 1908, and first services were held in August 1909.
 
In 1967 Hoff, of rural Sharon, voted to merge with Trinity congregation. Hoff was organized July 8, 1888.
 
June 24, 1984, is the day we celebrated 100 years of a rich and blessed heritage in the congregation of Trinity Lutheran church.
