St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church was organized August 15, 1986, meeting first in private homes and in a public reading room with services in German and English. In 1899 the congregation's first church was built at 512 N. Broadway. St. Paul's provided rites of Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage and Burial and began Sunday School, mixed choir, Luther League, and Ladies Aid. In 1955 a three-acre building site was purchased on Highway 2 & 75. Construction was finished and the new church dedicated in 1961. A new addition of a family room/library, classrooms, bathrooms, and partial basement was added in 1995. St. Paul's Lutheran Church is presently served by Pastors Wm. Reck and Orlin Ness and continues "to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people"
