The St. Olaf Lutheran Congregation was organized in 1887, with Reverend O. H. Aaberg as its first pastor. The constitution adopted February 4, 1887, was signed by twelve charter members.
The original building, constructed in 1888, was replaced by the present brick structure in 1930, during the Reverand George O. Loftness pastorate. In 1953 construction was begun on the forty-eight room Sunday School Annex, connected to the main building. On June 13, 1954, the completed structure was dedicated. The cornerstone of this building bears the inscription: Feed My Lambs".
The present Sunday School enrollment is 575.
The present confirmed membership of the congregation is 1700.
