Richland Lutheran Church organized 1879 by Rev. Christian Wold with 41 members. Original Church, built 1882, replaced by present Church in 1911, costing $11,854. Following pastors have served: C. Wold (1879-1883), L.C. Hill (1883-1884), G. Oftedahl (1884-1899), A. Wold (1891-1906), A.M. Lunda (1907-1918), G. Fjeseth (1918-1924), John Nelson (1924-1930), J.O. Silseth (1930-1951), Rev. J.S. Sunde served temporally from 1951 to 1952. In November 1952 the present Pastor, Rev. Robert L. Falk was installed.

WALCOTT, N.D. - Richland Lutheran Church, 6147 172nd Ave SE, rural Walcott, commemorates 100 years in its current building with a celebration on May 20.
Festivities start at 10 a.m. with coffee, fellowship and choir practice for anyone who would like to sing. Worship service starts at 11 a.m. with special music by the praise band, choir and Sunday school. A traditional meatball dinner follows, including lefse, rømmegrøt and rhubarb dessert. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration.
The 133-year-old congregation is known for its annual lutefisk supper, which draws up to 1,100 people and is held the last Friday in October. This year, the Men's Club will serve the 80th supper on Oct. 26.
