Our Savior's Lutheran Church

Our Savior's Lutheran Church was organized on July 16, 1904. The present Church was completed and first services held November 20, 1904. There were 198 contributing members the first year.
Rev. Jens Mathiason was called as the first Pastor, on February 6, 1905. Other Pastors called were C. S. Vang, C. S. Thompson, H. C. Smeby, A. O. Odegaard, A. S. Tanner, W. I. Aamoth and E. W. Quam.
In 1919 the two Iola Lutheran Congregations called a Pastor jointly, and in 1937 they were united into one congregation.
The Parish House was built in 1950 and dedicated on October 15th.
In 1954 the chancel was remodeled, organ rebuilt, and Church redecorated in anticipation of the 50th Anniversary.
The present membership is 1060.
