Mandan First United Methodist Church
100th Anniversary
1880-1980
The Methodist Church constructed in 1880 was Mandan's first church. Used by other denominations for worship services, the church also served as a schoolhouse in the early years. Fires in 1892 and 1919 destroyed two buildings.
The present church was built in 1922. An educational unit and new foyer have been added to the building.
Thirty-one resident pastors have served at First United Methodist Church. The present minister is Rev. John Mac Mullen, who has been here since 1963.
