Lakeview congregation was organized on October 27, 1893. The first pastor was Rev. Mickalson. From 1898 until 1905, the following pastors served Lakeview Church: Rev. Mitbo Roistad and Rev. Shurson. Prior to building a church, services were held in the homes and two school houses in the community.
The first church was built in 1909 and burned down in 1913. The next church was built in 1914. Rev. K. J. Rudie was chosen as pastor. The church eventually became known as Concordia Church, followed by numerous pastors, namely: O. O. Hofstad, Rev. Fretheim, Rev. Olson, Rev. K. Helgeson, Rev. E. Hanger and Rev. Nyhus.
Immanuel congregation was organized in 1893. The first pastor was Rev. Peterson. In 1900, the church was built. The following pastors served: Rev Beito, Rev. Klevjord and Rev. Fretheim. In 1907, the church burned to the ground. The second church was built in 1908.
In 1919, The Lakeview and Immanuel churches merged. Rev. Fretheim served for some time. Rev. O. O. Hofstad became regular pastor. The Immanuel church was sold in 1920 to a German congregation. In the year 1929 it was moved to north Hammer, SD. The new church was named Concordia.

On October 27, 1893, the Lakeview congregation was organized in Grant Township in the southwest corner of section 10. John Staven, G. O. Kively and Ole Mytrhe, a committee of three men, were appointed to get new members for the church. O. P. Larson was secretary.
The first services were held in homes and school houses. Rev. Michalson was the first pastor. He received a salary of $25.00 the first year, which was raised to $50.00 the following year. A custom, in those days, was for the congregation to furnish the pastor with food and lodging. From 1898 until 1905, Rev. Mitbo Roistad and Rev. Shurson served as pastors.
The first Lakeview Church was built in 1909. In 1913, it was believed the lightning struck the church and was burned down. It was rebuilt again the following year at a cost of approximately $1,000.00. Rev. R. N. Rudie was chosen as pastor.
In 1918, The Lakeview Church and the Immanuel Church, located one mile north, merged together as one congregation. They took the name Concordia. Rev. Freitham served for some time, then Rev. Hofstad became the regular pastor.
The golden anniversary was celebrated in 1943, with many former pastors present. Services continued through the late 1970s. Other pastors that served in the church were: Rev. Gjevrie, Rev. G. N. Isolany, Rev. Helgeson, Rev. Olson Rev. Eikanger, Rev. Nyhus, Rev, Chervik, Rev. Greibel and Rev. Espeseth.
