Immanuel Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) was organized on March 14, 1950, by members released from Grace Lutheran Church, Dr. Arnold Grumm, pastor, and in co-operation with the North Dakota District. The first Pastor, The Rev. John Lutz installed, May 7, 1950, by Dr. Arnold H, Grumm and assisted by Pastor E. H. Bohrer. Planning for new Church began fall, 1950. Groundbreaking service held, October 21, 2951. North Dakota District granted money to build student center in rear of new Church. District LMML furnished the room. Cornerstone laying services, July 27, 1952. Dedication date, Fall 1952.
