Hoya verticillata 'Black Margin'
Picture
The Hoya verticillata 'Black Margin' features large, spade-or heart-shaped leaves that are dark green with silver flecks and framed by a striking dark border. The leaves are textured with raised veins, adding to their visual appeal. This variety is also known for its clusters of creamy white star-shaped flowers that are intensely fragrant when in bloom.

Care Requirements
  • Light: This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so it's best to place it near a window with filtered light.
  • Watering: Allow the topsoil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's essential to ensure the pot has good drainage.
  • Humidity: Hoya verticillata prefers a humidity level of 60% or higher. While it can tolerate lower humidity, providing higher humidity will promote better growth and flowering.
  • Temperature: Ideal temperatures range from 65°F to 85°F (18°C to 29°C). Avoid exposing the plant to temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
  • Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a combination of orchid bark, perlite, and coco husk, to ensure proper aeration for the roots.
