Hoya sunrise
Picture
Hoya Sunrise is a hybrid created by crossing Hoya lacunosa and Hoya obscura. It’s beloved for its dramatic foliage and its ability to “sun-stress” into gorgeous shades of red and pink.

 Key Features
  • Leaves: Teardrop‑shaped, glossy, and capable of turning bright pink or reddish under strong light.
  • Growth Habit: A vining epiphyte—great for hanging baskets or trailing displays.
  • Flowers: Small, star‑shaped clusters in white to pale pink, often sweetly scented.
  • Origin: Hybrid of two Southeast Asian species.
 Light
  • Prefers bright, indirect light.
  • A few hours of gentle morning sun helps bring out the red/pink foliage.
  • Too much harsh sun can burn the leaves.
  • Many growers place it in an east-facing window for ideal balance.
 Water
  • Water every 5–8 days in spring/summer, less in winter.
  • Let the soil dry slightly between waterings.
  • Avoid soggy soil—Hoyas hate wet feet.
