  • Light Requirements - Hoya latifolia silver does best in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, but prolonged exposure can scorch its leaves. An ideal location is near an east- or west-facing window where it can receive ample light without being burned. If the plant is not getting enough light, it may become leggy and produce fewer blooms.
  • Watering - Water your Hoya latifolia silver when the top inch of soil feels dry. This plant is more tolerant of drought than overwatering, so it's essential to allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Typically, watering every 7-10 days is sufficient, but this may vary depending on the humidity and temperature of your environment. Avoid letting the plant sit in water to prevent root rot.
  • Soil & Potting - Use a well-draining potting mix to ensure proper aeration and moisture retention. A suitable mix can consist of 50% organic materials (like bark, charcoal, or coco-husk) and 50% perlite or vermiculite. This combination allows for excellent drainage, which is crucial for preventing root rot.
  • Temperature & Humidity - Hoya latifolia silver prefers warm temperatures, ideally around 70°F to 80°F (21°C to 27°C). It should not be exposed to temperatures below 55°F (13°C). Maintaining humidity levels around 60% or higher can also help the plant thrive, as it mimics its natural tropical environment.
  • Fertilization - During the growing season (spring and summer), fertilize your Hoya latifolia silver with a diluted orchid fertilizer once a month to promote healthy growth and flowering. Ensure that the soil is not too wet before applying fertilizer.
