High Prairie Lutheran Church 1887 - 100th Anniversary - 1987
April 24, 1887, some settlers of Gladstone, Black Loam, and Pearl Lake townships met to organize a Lutheran Congregation. The congregation met in homes and schoolhouses until the erection if a building began with laying of the cornerstone June 6, 1905. The new church building was dedicated June 27, 1909.
In 1927, the church building was moved and placed on a basement at its present location. The church entrance was remodeled, and modern facilities added in 1961.
The Lord does not dwell in temples made with hands. He has ordained that there shall be temples on earth where people may gather to worship Him.
