We give thanks for the 153 years of ministry and witness of Hickson Lutheran Church even as we gathered for a service of Holy Closure today. Their legacy lives on the generations who were raised in faith and sent out to live Christ’s love in the world. Thanks be to God for your witness to the Gospel.

A photo album book was from the lot I bid and won.  The old wood shakes came off and new shingles on. The date on the back of the pictures was August 2022.

1872 - 1972

HISTORY
The congregation was formally organized in 1872. Lower Wild Rice and Red River Church was built in 1880. North Pleasant Church was built in 1890. These two Congregations merged in October 1940. North Pleasant Church was moved to Hickson; is now known as Hickson Lutheran Church. The addition was added in 1965. Eight pastors have served our parish.

The congregation was formally organized in 1872. Lower Wild Rice and Red River Church was built in 1880. On July 17, 1940, it was struck by lightning and burned to the ground after 60 years of services.

The North Pleasant Church was built in 1890. These two Congregations merged in October 1940.

The Church was moved to Hickson. It is now known as Hickson Lutheran Church.
