Good Shephard Lutheran Church 75th Anniversary

Good Shepard Lutheran Congregation was organized on March 7, 1909, with a membership of forty. The church, constructed at a cost of $4,000.00, was dedicated in 1916.

Good Shephard together with West Fairview and Our Savior's of Elliott formed a three point parish from 1945 to 1965 when West Fairview was dissolved. Our Savior's merged with Good Shephard in 1969 and it became a two point parish with St. John's Lutheran Church of Verona.

The seventy fifth anniversary was observed June 24, 1984. Its current membership is 170 baptized and 129 confirmed persons.

Good Shephard Church is a congregation of the American Lutheran Church.
