The fall of 1874, 11 families petitioned the Presbyterian of Waterloo, Iowa to organize them into a church. This was completed on February 19, 1875. The Rev. Jacob Brinkema was elected the first minister and gave the land for the first church.
From 1875 to 1881 the congregation met in Poland Grove Schoolhouse. The first church was used from 1881 to 1893. A second church was built and used in 1893 to 1972. In 1930 and 1949 major reconstruction was taken on the second church building.
On October 27, 1968, the Education Building was dedicated. The third church was dedicated on September 9, 1973.
