First Evangelical United Brethren Church Bismarck, North Dakota
The ministry of the E. U. B. Church in Bismarck dates back to 1882 when Rev. J. Kienholz was assigned to the Mandan-Bismarck area, a mission of the Minnesota Conference. After 8 years of service, work was discontinued for about 10 years and resumed in 1899. Since that time a continuous ministry has found a fruitful response, and the church today has a resident membership of about 400. The work was begun in rented quarters, later purchased, at 7th Street and Rosser Avenue and used until 1914 when a new and enlarged structure was built. Continued growth necessitated the new church building program where a building adequate for a congregation and S. S. of 600 is being constructed at 11th Street and Avenue F.
