The Fairview congregation was established in September 1903 with a meeting being held in the Arne School House. The first Baptism on record was also held there that day.
The Constitution was written up on November 27, 1903, and was adopted on December 20, 1903, and the name was to be Fairview Lutheran. The first officers were: Deacons: E. S. Fossen, 1 year - Ed Gullickson, 2 years - Martin Sorlie, 3 years. Trustees: John Johnson, 1 year - Martin Thomson, 2 years and August Peterson, 3 years.
Martin Thomson was also the first janitor; first secretary - August Peterson; Treasurer - Gust A. Peterson. The first funeral was held in 1905 which was August Peterson and Christian Fossen the same summer.
Ole Bergoust was organist for the first two years.
Ladies Aid was also organized that year. Mrs. Emil Westrum was president. Several silver and golden weddings have been held. Also fall festivals, sales, and suppers.
The 50th anniversary was held at the church on October 10-11, 1953, with all former pastors there. The Rev. Pederson (1st pastor 1903-1913) who had organized this congregation; Rev. J. P. Leland (it was while he was pastor the church was built in 1918); Rev. Gilseth from 1922-1936; Rev. G. J. Brethlem from 1938-1945; Rev. Lee filling in between 1936 - 1938; Rev. Oliver Sidney from 1945-1950; Rev. I. M. Norum, 1951 - 1956; Rev. Paul Ronning from 1950 -1951. Rev. Hugelen served from 1957 -1962 and Rev. Oscar Johnson from 1962 - 1968.
During these years there have been 16 weddings (4 in church), 98 Confirmands, 56 deaths as far as can be found on record, 172 baptisms, and two adult confirmation classes.
