Evangelical Covenant Church of Crookston, Minnesota
1894-1994 The church work began in 1893, with Rev. Mostrom, a lay preacher from Dalarna, Sweden, holding meetings in the homes of Scandinavian friends. Then young Isacc Skoog, traveling on vacation from the seminary in the summer of 1894, conducted seven weeks of evangelistic services in "Lawrence Hall," located on Main Street. A group of youthful and enthusiastic converts met on August 24, 1894, to organize a church called in Scandinavian Christain Mission Congregation. They met in The Augustana Lutheran Church and then the Grand Army Hall. On March 28, 1903, the church building was dedicated. The new parsonage was built in 1986, and the new church in 1994.
