The present DeLamere Lutheran Church building was built 1902 [and] finished 1903 by John Hendrikson, uncle of Emil Granlund. John Hendrikson donated 3 acres of his land and the church to the
DeLamere Community to have a place to worship. The church building cost him $1,000.00

The Delamere Lutheran Church building, located at DeLamere, North Dakota, was erected shortly after 1900.
In 1913, it was acquired by the Immanuel Lutheran Church which was affiliated with the Milnor Lutheran Parish. The building was enlarged and remodeled in 1947. Cornerstone laying and dedication services were held that year.
The DeLamere Lutheran Church was organized as a separate congregation of the American Lutheran Church on April 25, 1961. At this time, the building became the property and church home of the congregation. The first pastor, the Rev. Arthur H. Grimstad, served from 1961 to 1963. Pastor John O. Johanson accepted a call to the pastorate in 1963 and took up residence in the parsonage purchased by the DeLamere Congregation.
