Community Presbyterian Church began as a Sunday School under the elms by the Sheyenne River, May 30, 1919. Organized by the Presbytery of Fargo on April 1, 1928, with 23 charter members. For 21 years, afternoon services were conducted by Stated Supplies and Pastors in what is now the North Grade School Building of West Fargo. In 1949 the Elm River Presbyterian Church building was purchased and moved to West Fargo. The present structure was built and dedicated September 11, 1960.
